Responsibilities include:
- Posting of bank entries, supplier/debtor entries and journals
- Maintaining and updating the company fixed assets register;
- Maintaining and updating the accruals and prepayments register;
- Be part of and collaborate effectively with the finance team with respect to deadlines;
- Assisting with monthly creditors payments and reconciliations;
- Effect intra company reconciliations;
- Maintaining and updating of Bank reconciliations;
- Liaising with external auditors on a constant basis in particular before the yearly Audit;
- Assisting the Chief Financial Officer in the compilation of monthly Management Accounts;
- Assisting the Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of ad-hoc reports
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar financial role preferably within the FMCG sector
- A solid understanding of accounting concepts, financial reporting standards and best practices;
- Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills;
- Experience with accounting software, statistical analysis tools
- A team-player who interacts professionally with the team;
- Ability to work well within a cross-functional team environment and diverse communities.
