Primary Responsibilities:
- To control the payment operations of the bank including the incoming and outgoing payments, direct debits, settlements, payment escalations and the respective reconciliations.
- To organise the banking operations team and the respective day-to-day fieldwork, delegating work effectively and be a mentor to the team.
- To supervise and be a point-of-contact for third parties and vendors including other banks and financial partners, core-banking platform vendors and other vendors of systems and service providers used by the Banking Operations team.
- To ensure respect to existing controls, policies, and procedures and to design and recommend improvements.
- To ensure the data of the bank is accurate at all times on all relevant systems.
- To prepare reports as required internally or externally from time to time.
- To control account creation and maintenance operations for all types of accounts supported by the bank.
Requirements:
- Hold a relevant qualification at a degree level in banking, business or related fields.
- Possess at least 2 years of experience working in a similar position.
- Have experience using the Oracle Flexcube Banking system.
- Have experience with SWIFT solutions.
- Have experience with bank payment processing ideally proficient on both SEPA and TARGET 2 payment networks
- Be in possession of an EU citizenship
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Able to work primarily from office, although ad-hoc hybrid work arrangements are also in place
