Our client is looking for a Data Analyst for an excellent opportunity has to join the client's fast-growing Risk Team based in Malta. The successful candidate will undertake a rewarding role of analyzing data of some of the best Hedge Funds trading on the client's platform. The individual in this position will work closely with the client's team of Risk Officers.

Description:
  • Develop processes for client trade data extraction, cleansing, collection, manipulation and analysis
  • Risk Technology & Tech Strategy Reporting – Short Selling Regulation, RTS28
  • Work directly with the company's clients to onboard them onto its software products, conducting training sessions and managing/responding to client feedback
  • Constantly evaluate processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies, make recommendations for improvements, and run these through with stake-holders
  • Perform other ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • At least two years’ experience with solid understanding of financial instruments and hedge fund operations preferred
  • Demonstrated professional integrity, dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new company initiatives and changing client needs
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Able to work independently, multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Highly motivated and goal oriented; proactive in one’s own education and career, volunteering and showing initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks
  • Dedicated to upholding the company’ s high-quality standards and customer service focus
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Willing to undertake minimal travel to London or New York
  • Reasonably available for client work outside of normal business hours and weekends
