To support the CEO in achieving the strategic development objectives of the Company. This includes:
  • Responsibility for promoting the company's culture, remaining consistent with the organisation’s philosophies and mission statement.
  • Providing an environment where all Associates can grow, improve and achieve their ultimate potential.
  • Ensuring that the best possible environment is created for client service.
  • Achieving financial and other relevant goals set by the business development strategy.
  • Participating as a member of the Executive Committee and assist with delivering the strategies and actions delegated to the committee by the Board.
  • Representing the company when dealing with the MFSA.
  • To work with the Executive Team to develop and deliver the strategies and actions delegated to the Executive Committee by the Board.
  • To work with each Business Unit head in the UK to agree appropriate alignment and support of their business strategy.
  • Work closely with Group Finance, HR and Compliance to ensure adherence with Group standards and objectives.
  • Oversight of monthly P&L and budgets.
  • Preparation of annual budgets.
  • Work with the UK Branch Manager to ensure effective and compliant UK Branch operations and seamless collaboration between Branch and Malta Associates.
  • Working with the Operations Manager to ensure the Company’s operational goals are met.
  • Work to ensure all activities are compliant with our regulatory obligations.
  • Work with the CEO on identifying and researching business
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the general and legal principles of insurance.
  • Professional and tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other Associates.
  • Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Business development skills including ability to prospect new clients and/or identify opportunities and new business sectors.
  • Proven leadership and strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with Associates at all levels.
  • Problem solving skills, including the ability to resolve unusual and complex issues and then devise actionable solutions.
  • Ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making.
  • A thorough knowledge of relevant MFSA regulations and guidelines.
