Reporting to Senior Manager, the Finance Analyst will be responsible for the Company’s general accounting and financial reporting. The role necessitates a control mindset to ensure a robust internal control framework across the Company’s functions
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of transactions and associated Financial Reporting
- Assist the F&C Manager to develop and maintain the Company’s internal control framework. Ensure accurate reconciliation & reporting of internal accounts.
- Coordinate / Drive the implementation and automation of existing & new company procedures related to statutory reporting obligations and managing ledger accounts.
- Perform internal audits and ensure compliance to internal control framework.
- Plan and support external auditors in carrying out the financial audit of the company.
- Champion data structuring, maintenance, analysis and accuracy of the Finance to Reporting flow.
- Recommend and implement process improvements with a view to improve internal control
- Assist in income tax computations, tax payments, VAT returns and reporting, ensuring compliance to tax legislation and regulations
- Assist in the execution of Tax related activities.
- Develop and execute hedging transactions. Evaluate and refine hedging positions.
- Produce hedge accounting transactions and reports
- Account for costs, useful life, resale value, depreciation, and amortization of Fixed Assets
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and obsolescence assessments of Fixed Assets
- Conduct asset disposal to retire assets as relevant
- Monitor whether assets deliver according to expectations. Monitor and track whether expected benefits linked to asset are realised.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy
- Minimum of 5-year overall experience. FMCG experience will be preferred.
