Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO, the Finance Reporting Officer will handle controlling and reporting.

The role of the Finance Reporting Officer is to have overall control and responsibility for financial and controlling reporting of the Bank. 

Further responsibilities include:
  • Prepare the ongoing regulatory returns to be submitted to the Central Bank of Malta and MFSA;
  • Produce a comprehensive management reporting;
  • Manage controlling, accounting, and reporting activities;
  • Take overall control of the company’s reporting functions;
  • Coordinate ad-hoc regulatory requests and contribute to statutory and regulatory audits by handling audit enquiries;
  • Provide support with regards to projects and the coordination of the bank’s external audit;
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met;
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments and reporting obligations of the Bank;
  • Assistance in analysing and interpreting data from regulations;
Skills and Qualifications
  • University Degree in a Finance related discipline, 
  • Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification would be beneficial;
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in financial accounting, controlling, and reporting;
  • Experience in direct communication with auditors would be beneficial; - Excellent IFRS accounting knowledge, profound local GAAP knowledge;
  • Very good communication skills with the ability to work with senior management, auditors, and regulators;
  • Fluent English language skills, oral and written;
