The role of the Finance Reporting Officer is to have overall control and responsibility for financial and controlling reporting of the Bank.
Further responsibilities include:
- Prepare the ongoing regulatory returns to be submitted to the Central Bank of Malta and MFSA;
- Produce a comprehensive management reporting;
- Manage controlling, accounting, and reporting activities;
- Take overall control of the company’s reporting functions;
- Coordinate ad-hoc regulatory requests and contribute to statutory and regulatory audits by handling audit enquiries;
- Provide support with regards to projects and the coordination of the bank’s external audit;
- Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met;
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments and reporting obligations of the Bank;
- Assistance in analysing and interpreting data from regulations;
- University Degree in a Finance related discipline,
- Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification would be beneficial;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in financial accounting, controlling, and reporting;
- Experience in direct communication with auditors would be beneficial; - Excellent IFRS accounting knowledge, profound local GAAP knowledge;
- Very good communication skills with the ability to work with senior management, auditors, and regulators;
- Fluent English language skills, oral and written;
