An opportunity for an Accountant to join an established local group in Malta, reporting to the Financial Controller. The position requires the chosen candidate to have a couple of years of hands-on Accountancy experience but not necessarily qualified.

- Preparing monthly Trial Balance up to Management Account stage;
- Reviewing of Accruals and Prepayments as prepared by the respective Accounts Executives.
- Preparing reports as may be required by the Financial Controller or Senior Management.
- Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
- Acting as the first line of contact of the external auditors.
- Supporting the accounts staff in the daily monitoring of cash settlements and accounts receivables, as necessary.
- Ensuring the timely monitoring of debtors, credit control and effective reporting to the Financial Controller, and Senior Management as required.
- Managing, leading and motivating the members of the Finance Department on a continuous basis in line with the culture of the Group.
Applicants need to be in possession of a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience working in an accountancy role. There is no need to be in possession of ACCA qualification, although ideally, applicants should be partly qualified and in the process of obtaining it in the near future.
