Working with the CEO, Executive Committee, and UK Branch, chosen candidate will be responsible for providing the operational support necessary in ensuring that the overall goals are exceeded

Further responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for understanding, accepting and promoting the company culture, remaining consistent with the organisation’s philosophies and mission statement.
  • Support the CEO and senior management in ensuring that Policies and Procedures are understood and implemented.
  • Responsible for working with the CEO and senior management to obtain data required for the budgeting process to be conducted in an effective and timely manner.
  • In conjunction with the CEO and senior management, monitoring financial performance and forecasting against budget, developing plans to take remedial action where appropriate.
  • Working with the local Compliance Officer to ensure that the MFSA’S and the FCA’s Rules and Regulations and the FCA’s Principles for Businesses and the Commitments are understood by all within the Group
  • Liaise with the UK Branch Manager to ensure that the control framework and operating standards are robust.
  • Support and Co-ordination of outsourcing agreements, including KPI monitoring.
  • Work with the UK Branch Manager on implementation of various tasks as and when required.
  • Liaise with the Tax team to ensure timely returns and quarterly declarations of Document Duty.
  • Regular engagement with Credit control and appropriate stakeholders in Age Debt function in respect of ensuring adherence to timelines and follow up.
  • Be the point of contact and co-ordination in respect of Internal and External Audits.
  • Carry out and report on monthly QAFAs
  • Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with insurers and Associates.
  • Support senior management to identify developmental needs for Associates.
  • Firm understanding of Human Resource policies and procedures and ability to implement and/or know when to escalate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with clients, insurers and other Associates.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve unusual and complex issues and then devise actionable solutions in conjunction and at the direct of senior management.
  • A thorough knowledge of regulations and guidelines relating to both commercial and retail customers.
  • Ability to develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure the performance of Associates necessary for excellence in client delivery and satisfaction.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications including basic/intermediate use of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Willingness and ability to continue to develop knowledge through formal and informal learning, both internal and external to the company.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and London market insurance processes will be considered an asset.
