Client is a well-established company within the financial services industry.
The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Head of IT and will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting the Group's IT Systems and Users, liaise with external suppliers and technical service providers and provide first and second level support where necessary.
Function:
- monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure
- administration of the organisation's applications and related databases
- drive to automate
- involvement in security, business continuity and disaster recovery of the bank's operational systems
- assist in maintaining the relevant documentation as required for internal and compliance requirements
- assistance with Office IT when the need arises
- support the development teams
- involvement in the development of new production systems in cooperation with external parties
- proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Requirements:
- Degree in IT Technical Systems or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience working within an IT Engineering role
- Mid-level knowledge of MS technologies & virtualisations
- Knowledge of Cloud platforms and architectures
- Adequate depth on Enterprise IT Equipment
- Knowledge in HA clustering
- Experience in MS SQL server database administration
- Microsoft technologies including cloud services
- An avid eye for attention to detail and high standards of delivery
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
- Adequate level of written and verbal communication
- Ideally experiences with Linux systems & JIRA
