Responsibilities:
- Day to day administration of application and operating system software
- Installation of computer hardware, maintenance and replacing failed computer hardware components
- Maintain of software licenses Ensure that all systems are covered by the proper maintenance contracts
- Maintain a sufficient inventory of computer-related supplies and a log of all computer hardware
- Manage the configuration records and program and data files, on the computer system
- Maintain appropriate comprehensive emergency procedures
- Troubleshoot and respond to end-user problems and new requirements
- Act as a liaison to service providers, users and suppliers
- Ensure that issues are resolved as soon as possible
- Assist the IT manager in the planning and execution of new IT projects
- Assist in creating procedures and other IT related documentation and keeping them updated.
- Diploma or higher (EQF level 5) in Computing or IT
- Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- Has a hands-on experience with hardware, server racks and network cabling
- A sound background with Microsoft Windows 7/8/10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Be familiar with Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 environments & Active Directory
- A working knowledge of TCP/IP network infrastructure
- Excellent troubleshooting, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess a customer-care oriented working approach
- Able to work flexible hours and on own initiative
