An auspicious client of ours is seeking to add a lawyer with a regulatory background in Corporate and Investments Schemes to their organization.

- Handling regulatory projects (set up of Sicavs and investment funds).
- Dealing with external parties, including external law and regulatory firms;
- Prepare and maintain standard agreements (NDA, Corporate Agreements etc.);
- Liaison with the Regulators, mainly for the approval of new schemes/investment funds.
- Oversee governance matters and corporate record keeping;
- Reviewing contracts with clients, partners, and vendors
- Manage relationships with outside counsel, engage outside counsel in a strategic manner, and manage all legal/regulatory work.
- Support the Compliance Officers and MLROs for the implementation of policies and procedures (relating to AML, Compliance, etc)
Requirements:
- Being a team member for at least 4-5 years of a legal/regulatory department in a Maltese firm.
- Team player;
- Must be efficient and have the ability to multi-task with an assertive, independent, and can-do attitude;
- Law degree;
- Enjoys working collaboratively and cross-functionally on teams, as well as independently;
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
- Proactively solves problems and makes decisions;
- Expertise in drafting/reviewing Offering Memorandums and Offering Supplements would be a +
