On behalf of our client in the banking sector we are seeking to recruit a Legal and Compliance Junior Officer, whom will support the Legal and Compliance functions in all necessary administration duties. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to conducting legal research, assisting in drafting of legal papers and agreements, maintaining up-to-date compliance records, and providing other general support to the department.

Duties:
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures;
• Conduct thorough research on various legal topics, regulations, and statutes to support the legal and compliance team in making informed decisions;
• Assist in the preparation for regulatory submissions;
• Assist in vetting of due diligence documentation;
• Monitor the regulatory calendar and other registers by maintaining and updating them in an efficient manner;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal and compliance documents, correspondence, and reports. Ensure proper organization, storage, and retrieval of information.

Requirements:
• Possess a High-Level of work ethics and professional integrity;
• Able to collaborate within a team, organised and an analytical thinker;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office ;
• Knowledge of Company Law is considered as an asset;
• Able to work independently and possesses time management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• The ideal candidate would possess at least 1 years of experience working in similar position;
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Compliance or a related field would be considered an asset;
• Understanding of legal principles and the regulatory framework.
• Research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex legal information.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and reports.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience within a Credit or Financial Institution would be considered an asset.
