Our client, a leading financial institution is on the lookout for a Scrum Master & Release Manager. The selected candidate will work in an Agile environment, managing multiple cross-disciplinary teams in planning, execution and release of initiatives through Scrum among other duties.

Description:
  • Proactively coordinating the efforts of one or multiple agile teams, organizing and facilitating working sessions, such as Initiative refinement, dependency and user story mapping, and release planning
  • Partnering with the Technical Product Owner and Software Development team to aid in understanding, identifying, and documenting the business opportunity through non-ambiguous, testable stories
  • Providing leadership by example and guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
  • Calculating team velocity to help determine and manage release timelines and aid in release planning and delivery
  • Building strong partnerships within Technology and across business, communicating clearly with stakeholders on releases to ensure that business expectations are met through high quality, well-planned releases across various agile teams.
  • Participating in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of software development life cycle, Agile, Scrum framework, best practices, and trends
  • Experience working as a scrum master or release/project manager
  • Experience working with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, Visio, and standard Office tools
  • Possess strong risk management skills, identifying risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Excellent communicator with good influencing skills and the ability to make yourself understood to both technical and non-technical audiences
