Senior Accountant - iGaming

Currently assisting an accounting firm which services the iGaming clients, both on the B2C and B2B sides of the industry. The good news is that they're growing and currently seeking a Senior Accountant.
The bad news is that there is only 1 vacancy to fill, so it's important that whoever is interested, shows their interest and gets in touch immediately. 
Chosen candidate will be reporting to the Head of Finance and will help coordinate and administer the overall day-to-day of the finance function.

Further responsibilities include:

• Supervise day-to-day accounting such as processing suppliers’ payments for approval and payments;
• Month-end accounting procedures and reconciliations of financial data flows;
• Reconcile revenue data with third party provider data and investigate any variances;
• Review bank reconciliations and payment service providers reconciliations;
• Assisting our external clients and their accountants for the VAT filings in Malta;
• Involvement in the daily operation and month-end record keeping;
• Assisting clients in their general filings & tax returns to relevant EU countries;
• Half-yearly and annual financial statements for companies;
• Monthly preparation of the Management accounts including the balance sheet and the income statement;
• Preparation of company audit packs for each entity for audit review and liaising with the external auditors;
• Support the finance team with ensuring all actions are done to be compliant with company policies;
• Reporting to the board of directors for clients and any other such adherence to instructions received;

Requirements

• Must be a Qualified Accountant
• 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Must be a self-starter, solutions-oriented, comfortable working with minimal oversight and taking on new tasks on-demand/as needed
• In possession of an EU citizenship and already living and working in Malta
