Duties include:
- Supporting the AML Manager on the day to day operational and strategical matters;
- Contributing to the development and growth of the AML/CFT Unit;
- Assisting and Guiding AML/CFT Executives with AML/CFT compliance reviews;
- Assisting and where necessary, spearheading initiatives and projects interrelated to the evolvement of the AML/CFT Unit;
- Providing general advice on the operational matters of the AML Unit to the AML Manager;
- Liaising with local authorities and stakeholders on AML issues
- Attending and representing the AML Unit in meetings and conferences both local and abroad, when necessary;
- Staying abreast of current and forthcoming AML/CFT Laws and Regulations;
- Staying abreast of latest typologies and new methods in combatting ML & TF
- In possession of a Degree related to the role. Candidates with degrees in the following fields will be given preference: Law, Accounts, IT and Criminology
- Impeccable report writing skills;
- Excellent command of both English and Maltese language (both written and spoken);
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar role;
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a people / team leadership position;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment;
- Strategic, critical and analytical thinking;
- Ability to take ownership and ability to act in line with agreed KPIs;
- Ability to organize and present findings and recommendations in a concise manner (both verbal and written);
- Leadership skills and ownership of work and projects;
- Sound knowledge of AML/CFT Laws and Regulations governing the EU and Malta.
