Description:
- Managing and monitoring all installed systems and all IT infrastructure including network and telephony
- Delivering day-to-day IT and desktop support via telephone, email, remotely or on-site
- Being responsible for various systems setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ensuring that the overall IT infrastructure is working efficiently and according to strict quality and security standards
- Supporting roll-outs of new applications
- Managing systems and applications backups
- Prioritising and managing multiple open cases at one time
- Mitigating of IT risks, aiding in setting up mechanisms to avoid/neutralise threats to the IT infrastructure
- Assisting in rollouts of new Environments
- Assisting the Security and network engineer with security related tasks
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in IT or IT certifications;
- Have a minimum of 3 years working in the IT field with a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar post
- Experience with both Server and Network Configuration (with preference on Networking) and Networking technologies and protocols
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DFS, IIS and WSUS
- Experience in Firewall configuration
- Have practical knowledge of MS 0365 environments, MS Server and desktop environments
- Experience in administration of Red Hat Linux and other variants of this OS is a must
- Experience in VMware virtualisation platform would be preferred
- Knowledge of Apache HTTPD server
- Knowledgeable of storage technologies, configurations, and backup technologies mainly focusing on Veeam
- Have knowledge of scripting languages, particularly Windows PowerShell and Linux Bash
- Knowledge of monitoring solutions such as Nagios would be an asset
- Knowledge of the entire TCP\IP, OSI network protocol stack, such as (IP\TCP,ICMP\UDPzSMTP\POP3\HTTP\FTP\SSH)
- Excellent time management, task planning and prioritising
- Very good written and verbal communication
