Introduction
Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Legal Officer. The successful candidate will be involved in a number of legal and compliance related matters, and will be reporting directly to the Head of Compliance and Head of Corporate Services.

Function
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating all the company’s legal related matters
- Legal representation in court
- Supporting and advising the corporate and compliance department on legal matters related to the products offered
- Drafting and adjusting contracts
- Conducting research on any issues related to insurance and the products offered, as well as advising the department on related policies
- Keeping abreast of policies and changes in legislation
- Assisting the Heads of Compliance and Corporate Services and helping out with the administration of the board meetings
- Making sure that the company’s compliance requirements are compliant with legislation
- Advising on all the compliance related matters
- Updating any agreements with brokers
- Handling clients’ complains
- Offering to new and existing employees training related to GDPR, legal and compliance related issues
Requirements
- Around 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- A University Law degree (the candidate will eventually need a legal warrant of practice)
- Excellent command of the English language
- A very good eye for details
- A background in insurance is considered a strong asset
- Candidates must be goal oriented and independent, and must have good analytical and communication skills
