Introduction

To review Business Plans, Company policies and procedures pertaining to applications and prospective applicants.

To conduct and/or review audits and reports conducted on all type of gaming operations and affiliated entities.

To ensure compliance with the applicable laws, regulations and directives, as applicable.

Organization

Our client is an established set up within the gaming industry.

Function

  • Such tasks shall be approached in a different manner by the auditor depending on whether s/he is assigned to perform the role of System or Compliance Auditor:
  • To review documentation submitted by gaming operators further to an application for a new License (including but not limited to application forms; Business Plan review, review of applicant’s policies and procedures, agreements; technical documentation; business, financial and game analysis;);
  • To review documentation submitted with applications for any new request for authorisation or notifications (including but not limited to changes to Technical Setups, addition of Verticals or Game Types, addition of games and Game providers, updated policies and procedures);

and/or

  • compliance review;
  • And liaise accordingly with other departments and gaming operators.
  • To ensure that operators are compliant with the applicable law and operate in accordance with the Client’s directives and policies. In fulfilling his/her tasks, the auditor is expected to:
  • review and monitor compliance of gaming operators’ systems and submit recommendations;
  • develop processes/procedures in order to prevent/detect irregularities, or suspicions thereof, and duly report any findings;
  • ensure completion of audit assignments, and to provide independent, objective assurance;
  • ensure final reports are issued with all recommendations;
  • oversee and provide quality control for the Department’s audits;
  • formulate; and/or assist in the development/formulation of; and/or maintain processes/policies to achieve the objectives of the Department as may be communicated from time to time.
  • To liaise with other Departments as necessary.
  • To carry out special investigations or other assignments that may be requested from time to time.
  • To participate in meetings and/or calls with prospective applicants or general queries.
  • To ensure the goals and functions of the Client and the Department are met and that professional standards are maintained at all times.
  • To carry out any other duties/tasks as may be instructed from time to time by his/her superiors.

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems (MQF Level 6);
  • Possession of a experience or qualifications in finance or accounting will be considered an asset;
  • Possession of or currently pursuing recognised certification to undertake IT audits (such as CISA or equivalent);
  • Experience in information systems and financial auditing will be considered as an asset;
  • Be capable of working within a team, manage multiple engagements and work to demanding deadlines;
  • Ability to identify and report on sensitive issues;
  • Be smart, highly motivated, well presented and with good communication skills;
  • Leads and develops others;
  • Thinks and acts strategically;
  • Takes ownership and actions.
