Head of Finance

The Head of Finance will be reporting to the Group CFO and responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of financial activities, including the oversight of regulated activities in the European Economic Area as well as acting as the direct contact for the MFSA. 

Chosen candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure compliance with MFSA, fulfilling audit requirements, directly impacting the company's success and its ability to maintain its position as a leader in the industry. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee company finances, ensuring efficient financial management.

• Assist in strategic planning, budgeting, and achieving financial objectives.

• Monitor performance, advise on policies, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Collaborate on financial proposals and align priorities with executives.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Enhance financial controls, safeguard internal systems, and address risks.

• Promote operational efficiency through system development.

• Build and maintain relationships with advisors, auditors, bankers, and consultants.

• Lead and collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve goals.

• Recruit, train, and manage employees, fostering a positive culture.

Applicants need to be warranted accountants having been previously PQ'd through the MFSA and having experience in payments, card schemes or financial services in general.

Chosen candidate need to have experience in leading a finance function for high performance, proficient in training and coaching team members within the finance department and having excellent communication skills in English.
