Private Equity Investments company is looking for an Accountant who would join to their growing team in Malta.
Responsibilities:
- Posting and processing of purchase invoices and updating accounts payable
- Setting up of weekly payment runs
- Raise sales invoices and update accounts receivable
- Follow up on overdue invoices and ensure timely settlement
- Issue intercompany recharge invoices and monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances
- Bank reconciliations
- Reviewing Expense claims and credit card expenses and booking these into the system
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Assisting the Financial Controllers with the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts and Annual, Financial Statements
- Weekly cashflow forecasting
- Other ad-hoc general and finance matters
Skill-sets and requirements:
- Recently completed or in the final stages of acquiring a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or obtained a BSc/BComm in accounting, finance or relevant field
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
- Self-motivated with high-performance standards, able to work independently and as a part of a team
- Great attention to detail
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
