Our client, a leading IT organization, is looking for a BI & Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be reporting to the BI & Data Senior Manager,and will be responsible to monitor, manage, improve and ensure business continuity, both physical and virtual servers, Oracle and MSSQL databases and BI applications together with the team.
Requirements:
- Safekeeping of the BI & Data Estate: servers, databases and applications
- Execution of routine tasks, such as database backup/restore, performance improvements, installations of security patches
- Master of automation of team’s business and monitoring processes
- Assisting the team in researching new open source technologies
Requirements:
- IT qualifications in related subject areas
- At least 2 years experience in managing similar estates, autonomously
- Experience in working with RDBMS specifically Oracle, MSSQL and MYSQL
- Experience in working with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with scripting using bash and python is considered an asset
- Any experience with managing BI applications such as SAP BO, Qlik, SSRS, Power BI is considered an asset
- Any experience with managing Data Integration Tools such as ODI, SSRS, Talend is considered an asset
- Any experience in the Telecoms industry is considered an asset
- Good communications skills, verbal and written
- Proficient in English language
