Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting appropriate client acceptance procedures, including creditworthiness assessments
- Monitoring of individual assets and portfolios at on-boarding process and on an ongoing basis,
- Manage the credit risk related to the Bank’s lending portfolio;
- Managing the due diligence and approval process for loan proposals;
- Monitor the existing lending portfolio;
- Managing and overseeing the population of credit information in the credit database system of the Bank;
- Formulating policies, developing procedures and setting guidelines related to the credit process, to ensure compliance with MFSA guidelines;
- Manage and supervise officials employed in the loan processing area
- Targeting both local and overseas markets through the range of products offered by the bank;
Key requirements:
- Degree in Banking or Financial Services
- Strong experience working within Credit
- Previous experience managing small teams within banking
- Sound knowledge in lending principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical skills
- EU citizenship and currently living in Malta
- Experience within Factoring will be considered an asset
