As part of their growth within the regulatory services department, our  well-established client is seeking to recruit for a Regulated Industries Licensing and Compliance Officer to join a team of experienced and dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate would be self-driven and able to manage his/her own work load whilst eager to learn and develop in this field.

Duties include: 
  • Maintaining a portfolio of clients in the process of being authorised by the MGA and foreign gambling authorities, including assisting with and advising on the respective licensing process in question from a compliance, technical and due diligence point of view and act as the main point of contact with the respective authority in question.
  • Maintaining a portfolio of clients in the process of being authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority, including assistance with the regulatory licensing process and any ongoing ad hoc compliance related tasks and advisory services and act as the main point of contact with the respective authority in question.
  • Providing ongoing support services to regulated businesses by the Malta Gaming Authority, foreign gambling authority and Malta Financial Services Authority, as applicable with regards to the respective compliance obligations of such entities.
  • Assist and support the Group’s legal, regulatory and corporate services teams with regards to ongoing compliance and regulatory processes relevant to such regulated entities.
  • Keep abreast of any relevant regulatory developments which may have an impact on such regulated entities.
Requirements: 
  • A minimum two (2) years of experience with the licensing and ongoing compliance processes of the Malta Gaming Authority.
  • Experience with the licensing and ongoing compliance processes of foreign gambling authorities and the Malta Financial Services Authority would be considered an asset.
  • Appropriate certification relevant to compliance in regulated business would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written;
  • A proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with external and internal departments ensuring lines of communication remain open; 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Competent in the use of standard office tools including Microsoft Office
