An established igaming company that are growing rapidly are seeking to recruit for a Senior Legal Counsel. Reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer, the Senior Legal Counsel will provide expert legal guidance across a diverse spectrum of legal affairs. 

Extensive experience in igaming licenses and dealing with offshore licenses is required. 

Duties include: 
  • researching and analyzing various offshore jurisdictions to understand their licensing requirements and regulations.
  • Generating comprehensive reports to present to the board, outlining the costs associated with obtaining licenses versus the regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying the commercial benefits and potential gains from acquiring licenses in different offshore jurisdictions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft, review, and finalize a variety of agreements, contracts, and legal documents to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice to senior management on a wide range of legal matters including but not limited to labor law, partnerships, international ventures, and corporate finance.
  • Working closely with the Compliance Team as well as other departments to support on legal matters including contracts issues, players disputes, license and compliance reporting, as well as making applications to relevant regulators;
  • Stay abreast of changes in legislation relevant to the company's operations and ensure compliance.
Requirements: 
  • Possess a legal warrant 
  • At least 4 years' experience as a lawyer within the igaming industry 
  • Experience with gaming licenses and offshore licenses 
  • Good knowledge of corporate and commercial law; employment and data protection law considered an asset;
  • Very good command of the English language, written and spoken (other language/s an advantage);
  • Ability to work independently and cooperate with different teams;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capacity of identifying all risks and proactively choosing the best solutions
