Our client is currently on the lookout for an IT Systems Administrator to primarily assist with

Description:
  • Coordinate the IT set-up for new joiners and the termination of user accounts for terminated employees as well as coordinate any office moves
  • Troubleshooting issues reported by end-users, providing assistance and delivering any training required
  • Analysing and identifying potential IT issues effecting users
  • Performing routine audits of our systems and software including deployment of updates to operating systems and configuration used by end-users
  • Assist with the installing and configuration of any new hardware/ networks/ software and upkeep of same
  • Oversee and assist with yearly preventive maintenance tasks including but not limited to alarms, CCTV and fire detection
  • Renewal of the various domains
  • Researching, introducing and playing an active role with integrating new software into our existing infrastructure
  • Supporting users in use of systems and tools and taking the initiative to troubleshoot new problems and explore all options prior to escalation
  • Taking the initiative to explore improvements to the Company’s overall systems to ensure we maintain excellent standards in line with best practices in the industry
  • Taking the initiative to learn any new software that may be added from time to time in order to be able to support users and ensure configuration continues to meet Company needs
  • Being proactive to offer support to Departmental Heads and/or their direct report, when they are in the process of acquiring or implementing a new software programme/ tool. This may require providing assistance in the interpretation of technical jargon, decision making related to user experience and assist with the integration to any other existing systems
  • Being available to provide immediate support for emergencies that may be impacting the business negatively or hampering productivity.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT administration or similar role preferably within the financial services industry
  • Qualifications in IT or relevant field would be considered an asset
  • Self-motivated and a fast learner
  • Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills
  • Great team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Methodical procedures for solving problems and a keen eye for detail
  • Demonstrates a ‘can-do’ attitude to assigned projects and self-initiative to support colleagues across the Company.
