Duties:
- Conduct in-depth legal research on various issues and precedents.
- Analyze statutes, regulations, and legal opinions to provide accurate and comprehensive information.
- Stay updated on changes in local and international laws that may impact clients.
- Handling standard forms required
- Liaising with external contacts such as Malta Business Registry and Maltese Government agencies
- Preparation and submission of corporate documents and statutory fillings
- Handling compliance matters in line with CSP requirements
- Scheduling of board and shareholder meetings, taking minutes and drafting resolutions
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on legal proceedings.
- Assist in client meetings, negotiations, and consultations.
- Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to support them in various legal matters.
- Collaborate with other legal associates and staff members to ensure smooth workflow within the firm.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- LL.B. degree from a recognized law school; LL.M. or additional certifications is a plus.
- Admission to the Maltese Bar is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the Maltese legal system and regulations.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- A minimum of one year of local experience in a CSP, law firm or corporate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese.
