On Behalf of our client we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Legal Associate. As a Legal Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support, conducting research, and assisting senior attorneys in various legal matters. The ideal candidate should have a strong legal background, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Duties:
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on various issues and precedents.
  • Analyze statutes, regulations, and legal opinions to provide accurate and comprehensive information.
  • Stay updated on changes in local and international laws that may impact clients.
  • Handling standard forms required
  • Liaising with external contacts such as Malta Business Registry and Maltese Government agencies 
  • Preparation and submission of corporate documents and statutory fillings 
  • Handling compliance matters in line with CSP requirements 
  • Scheduling of board and shareholder meetings, taking minutes and drafting resolutions
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on legal proceedings.
  • Assist in client meetings, negotiations, and consultations.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to support them in various legal matters.
  • Collaborate with other legal associates and staff members to ensure smooth workflow within the firm.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:
  • LL.B. degree from a recognized law school; LL.M. or additional certifications is a plus.
  • Admission to the Maltese Bar is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the Maltese legal system and regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • A minimum of one year of local experience in a CSP, law firm or corporate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese.
